What do you need?
Base Station
You do not need a separate base station for Apple HomeKit. Your iPhone, iPad, HomePod, or Apple TV is the central mini computer that wirelessly connects and controls everything. Apple has its own "Home" app, or you can use alternative apps from other manufacturers.
Actors
HomeKit Actors are the wireless switches within your Smart Home System. They control your lighting, heating, blinds, curtains, awnings, and other electrical devices. They also measure power consumption.
