With the 4" Shelly Wall Display White for wall mounting, you can easily control and monitor all your Shelly devices in the room. Its minimalist look perfectly complements your interior, and you can easily customize the home screen to your liking. In less than 10 minutes, you can install the Shelly Touch Screen in place of a wall switch and control your smart home system with just a tap on the screen. For example, you can turn off all your lights at once by tapping the screen with two fingers. How cool is that?
Now available in a cost-effective combination with the Shelly BLU H&T Humidity and Temperature Sensor Ivory. The Wall Display already had internal temperature and humidity sensors, but these were less accurate due to the heat generated by the panel. With the included small BLU H&T sensor on batteries, which can be easily placed anywhere in the middle of the room, the humidity and temperature can be measured more accurately. You can set the BLU H&T on the touch panel as the main sensor, and the temperature and humidity from the BLU H&T will be displayed on the panel itself instead of the Wall Display sensors.
NOTE: With the latest firmware update 2.2.0, there have been many changes to the layout and functions of the Wall Display. For example, there is now a free choice of devices, scenes, groups, weather, and music on the home screen instead of just the devices in the room. Now with separate Thermostat screen and Settings screen. The photos below may therefore differ after this firmware update. You can view the new functions under Downloads.
Scroll to the bottom of the product page for the installation video and explanation of the functions.
Shelly Wall Display Black
The Shelly Wall Display has a 4-inch color touch screen with an integrated 5A relay, so you can install this smart screen in place of a wall switch and control the light with the display from now on. The Shelly Wall Display now comes with a separate temperature and humidity sensor, the Shelly BLU H&T. This can be more easily placed somewhere centrally in the room for better and more accurate temperature and humidity readings. The Wall Display also has built-in lux (brightness) sensors. Convenient, as you can use the display as a wall thermostat. You also gain insight into the humidity in your home or office. Often underestimated, but humidity is very important for your health and your home (think, for example, of mold). And with the lux sensor, you can automate the lighting for when it starts to get dark. Or quickly touch the screen with two fingers to easily turn your lights on or off.
Shelly Display Home Screen
Effortlessly customize your Home Screen and layout to your preferences, with up to six devices that are most important to you. You can toggle devices on or off with one tap on the touch screen with two fingers, monitor humidity and temperature, and keep an eye on current energy consumption in the room at a glance. Swipe the screen left and right for more options.
Around the end of September/beginning of October, it will also be possible to use the Wall Display as a wall thermostat, allowing you to control your boiler, underfloor heating, and/or Shelly TRV thermostats.
Note: currently, the Wall Display also requires a blue neutral wire for connection, and your Shelly devices must be connected to the cloud.
Shelly Display Favorites
Swipe right and you can access your favorites. In this special space, you can create an unlimited collection of your most-used devices, groups, and scenes, so you can easily reach them all.
Do you want to create the perfect light atmosphere for watching a movie? Do you want to control device groups with a single tap? Simply add them to your favorites and navigate directly to them. Say goodbye to scrolling through menus: the Favorites tab ensures that everything you need is exactly where you expect it to be.
Shelly Display Devices
Get instant access to all your devices via the Devices tab on the Shelly Wall Display. View a complete list of devices set up in the room of your choice and control them all individually.
The touch screen is, of course, designed for controlling and monitoring your Shelly devices in the room where the display is installed. This room is always added to your Shelly Wall Display.
The intuitive controls make it accessible to everyone. So, for example, you no longer need to give access to your Shelly App to the babysitter or cleaner.
Shelly Display Groups
The Room-Specific Groups tab makes controlling your existing groups quick and easy. Discover and control groups of devices that work harmoniously together within the selected room, all in one convenient location.
For example, with one press of a button, you can turn on your kitchen lighting, or turn off the spotlights in the conservatory. Groups are ideal for switching specific Shelly devices on or off all at once.
You can easily create groups by creating a new group and adding devices with an action. Only the groups belonging to this room are visible.
Shelly Display Scenes
Via the Scenes tab, you can easily start the scenes you have created to create the perfect ambiance for any occasion. Whether it's a cozy movie night or a nice dinner, the Scenes tab lets you change the atmosphere with a simple touch.
For example, with one press of a button, you can set your preferred settings for watching a movie to 10% light. Or change colors using your Shelly RGBW bulbs or LED strip.
Scenes are different from groups as you can set them more specifically and also have them start automatically. For example, at sunset, turn on the garden lighting. In this screen, you can turn scenes on and off or start them.
How to Install the Shelly Wall Display
The display must be connected to 230V mains power and also requires a blue neutral wire. The simplest solution is to place the screen in the location of the current wall switch. But note, sometimes the blue neutral wire is missing behind the wall switch, so check that first. If you don't have a blue neutral wire, you will need to pull it from the central junction box. Shelly is currently working on a version that also works without a neutral wire, but that will take a few more months before it is released. The wall display fits in a standard flush-mounted box, or otherwise use a surface-mounted box with a connection cable.
The touch screen also has a built-in 5A relay, which you can then use to control the lamp for which you have replaced the wall switch. After that, it's just a matter of turning the power back on, starting up, easily connecting to your home Wi-Fi via Bluetooth, and selecting the room where the wall display is installed. Then adjust the layout to your liking. Installed and working within 10 minutes. It couldn't be easier. Also install the BLU H&T Sensor, and after installation, select this sensor as the main sensor in the Display settings.
