Shelly RC Snubber

The Shelly RC Snubber is an energy-absorbing circuit designed to suppress voltage spikes caused by the inductive load of the circuit when a switch, whether electrical or mechanical, is opened.

This is a service product. You can order these products cheaper from us if you order them together with the Actors. If you order them separately, we will send them in an envelope.

An inductive load (current that persists) is, for example, a coil. Coils are found in transformers, gas discharge lamps (fluorescent tubes), electric motors, and relays.

To be used for Shelly Actors to protect against overload when turning on or off devices such as fans, motors, tubular motors, vacuum cleaners, or other inductive loads that cause voltage spikes during switching.

The RC snubber (0.1 µF / 100 Ω / 1/2 W / 600 VAC) should be connected in parallel with the device and must be installed between the output (switched phase wire) and neutral of the circuit.
