Shelly PRO 3EM 400A

With the Shelly PRO 3EM 400A WiFi Energy Meter, you can easily and accurately monitor and record energy consumption wirelessly or via an Ethernet cable for 3-phase or 3x 1-phase systems, such as those from your solar panels. What’s new with this Shelly PRO 3EM includes 400A CT clamps, a fast ESP32 chip, support for both WiFi and LAN connections, and Bluetooth, plus the DIN-Rail design. The open-source nature allows you to integrate the Shelly 3EM with almost any home automation system. Additionally, Shelly offers a free app that allows you to set up a smart home system easily and affordably without the cost of a gateway/hub.

Install the Shelly PRO 3EM 400A according to the instructions, connect to your home WiFi (optionally via Bluetooth) or LAN using the free Shelly App, and pair the module. It doesn’t get any easier! The Shelly PRO 3EM Energy Meter operates on 110-240VAC and has an ESP32 with a 16MB flash chip built-in, allowing you to flash your own or alternative firmware.

With the Shelly PRO 3EM 400A, you can create scenes to control other Shelly devices based on power consumption or energy return. Ideal for this is the new Shelly Pro 3EM Switch Add-On, which also features DIN-Rail mounting and clicks onto the Pro 3EM 400A. After that, you can directly control the potential-free relay from the Shelly Pro 3EM 400A, which supports up to 2A with a maximum of 240VAC or 30VDC. There is also a Shelly Pro 3EM variant with 120A CT clamps available.

If you prefer not to use the free Shelly cloud service but still want to control your devices remotely, that’s no problem. The Shelly PRO 3EM also supports basic MQTT (Message Queue Telemetry Transport) for reliable connections via a central mediator: the MQTT broker. The involved devices communicate only with the broker and do not know about each other, so they don’t need to know each other's IP addresses or technical details.
