Information

Control your smart lights, blinds, or shades wirelessly. Combine the Shelly Plus i4 DC with the smart Shelly Bulbs or Relay Switches to easily create smart scenes in the free app for your home automation. Voice control with Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa is also possible; "Hey Google, turn on the table lamp."

The Shelly Plus i4 DC is a cost-effective and compact WiFi in-wall switch for your Smart Home System, which you can install behind your wall switches. Its open-source nature ensures that your Shelly i4 can integrate with nearly any home automation system. Additionally, Shelly offers its own free app, allowing you to set up a Smart Home System easily and affordably without the cost of a Gateway/Hub. The Shelly Plus i4 DC smart switch supports 5-24VDC but has no outputs (no relays). It is intended to wirelessly control other Shelly relays or smart plugs, with up to 4 inputs for 3 actions per button, providing up to 12 functions:
- On/Off (toggle switch)
- On/Off Short press (momentary switch)
- Long press (momentary switch)
- Double short press (momentary switch)
NOTE: The Shelly Plus i4 DC has no outputs, so you cannot directly connect a lamp or device to it.

Install the Shelly i4 DC according to the user manual, now even easier to add via Bluetooth, and connect via WiFi with the free Shelly app, linking your Shelly i4 with other Shellys through Actions or Scenes. It couldn't be simpler! It works perfectly with, for example, the Gira 4-fold basic unit push button or the JUNG 4-fold Multi-push button, or another brand.

The Shelly Plus i4 switch supports 5-24VDC and features the fast ESP32 chip. Like the other Plus series devices, the Shelly Plus i4 offers enhanced security with MQTT and WSS support, TLS, and custom certificate support. It also includes an improved API interface and Java scripting.

Also works with

Google
HomeKit
HomeSeer

Home Assistant
SmartThings

* Apple HomeKit requires flashing (non-reversible) or a Homebridge

If you prefer not to use the free Shelly cloud service but still want to control your devices remotely, that's no problem. The Shelly i4 also supports basic MQTT (Message Queue Telemetry Transport) for reliable connections via a central mediator: the MQTT broker. The devices involved communicate only with the broker and do not know each other. They do not need to know the IP addresses and technical details of other participants. Thus, it is secure and reliable, with real-time monitoring and simple integration. Want to know more? Read our Shelly WiFi Switch Blog.
