Shelly Plus Add-On

With this Shelly Plus Add-on for the Shelly Plus series, you can connect up to 5x DS18B20 waterproof temperature sensors or 1x DHT22 temperature and humidity sensor (available separately). This is convenient for accurate temperature measurement in your aquarium, potentially with a water level sensor, zone (floor) heating, or to measure humidity in the bathroom for smart ventilation. It is compatible with all Shelly Plus actuators, such as the Shelly Plus 1 or Plus 1PM.

If you have an electric garagedoor or gate and you combine the Plus Add-On with a magnetic sensor (reed contact), you can even see in the Shelly Smart Control App whether your garage door is Open or Closed. That's convenient and you can order the sensor together with the Plus Add-On. This combination is often used with a Shelly Plus 1 or Shelly 1 Gen3 with a potential-free relay for your garage door or gate.

NOTE: You can only order the Add-On, with a minimum of 1 accessory.
The Plus Add-On must be attached to the Shelly Plus 1, Plus 1PM, Plus 2PM, or Plus i4.

Create smart (cloud) scenes based on temperature and/or humidity, and view the history in graphs. The Add-on supports MQTT, CoAP, and API.

The separately available 1m or 3m long DS18B20 temperature sensor is digital and has no signal problems even over longer distances! The digital temperature sensor is fairly accurate (± 0.5°C over most of its range) and can provide up to 12-bit precision from the built-in digital-to-analog converter. It works great with any microcontroller using a single digital pin, and you can even connect multiple sensors to the same pin, as each has a programmed unique 64-bit ID to distinguish them. It is compatible with 3.0-5.0V systems.

The separately available DHT22 is an affordable digital Temperature and Humidity Sensor. Using a capacitive humidity sensor and a thermistor, it measures the ambient air and sends these values as a digital signal to the data pin that you connect to the Shelly Add-On (soldering provides the most reliable connection). The sensor is easy to use but requires precise timing to record the data accurately. Measurements are taken every 2 seconds;

• Temperature measurement accuracy: ± 0.5 ℃

NOTE: You cannot combine the DS18B20 and DHT22. Also, only one DHT22 sensor can be connected.
You can optionally order additional DS18B20 with 1m cable or DS18B20 with 3m cable separately.

The separately available Water Level Sensor monitors the water level in your aquarium or water tank. You can combine it with the waterproof DS18B20 temperature sensor. Then create a smart scene to alert you of low water levels or temperature, or even automatically start your heating element or water pump. The water level sensor attaches to the outside and works contactlessly (except through metal). Check out the video below for installation and operation.
