With the Shelly Motion, Shelly's Smart Home System is truly complete. For example, automatically switch on your lighting when movement is detected or enhance your alarm system with the Shelly Door-Window sensor.

The Shelly Motion is a WiFi motion sensor with a rechargeable battery of 6500mAh, which lasts about 1 year on a full charge with normal use. The sensor's response time is less than 200ms and it has 256 levels to adjust sensitivity, allowing you to customize the response to distance and movement according to your preferences. The tamper protection (vibration) sends an immediate notification and has 128 adjustable sensitivity levels. The Lux sensor (light intensity) works only in conjunction with the Motion sensor for smart Actions, such as turning on your lighting when it is dark and when movement is detected.

The Shelly Motion is the new generation motion sensor, powered by Silicon Labs Wi-Fi IoT solutions, featuring the world's lowest power-consuming Wi-Fi device.

If you prefer not to use the free Shelly cloud service but still want to control your devices remotely, no problem. The Shelly Motion WiFi Sensor also supports basic MQTT (Message Queue Telemetry Transport) for reliable connections via a central broker: the MQTT broker. The involved devices only communicate with the broker and do not know each other directly. They do not need to know the IP addresses or technical details of other participants. It is thus secure and reliable, with real-time monitoring and easy integration.
