Shelly H&T WiFi

With the ultra-small Shelly H&T (Humidity & Temperature) WiFi Sensor, you can monitor the humidity and temperature in your home or office. Often underestimated, humidity is very important for your health and that of your home (e.g., mold). It is recommended to maintain humidity levels between 30-50 percent, with an ideal level of 45 percent. With the help of the Shelly HT and the free app, this is a breeze. Create smart scenes (scenarios) and automatically activate the humidifier with the Shelly WiFi Plug, automate your ventilation system, and automatically control your electric (floor) heating for a comfortable temperature in the (bath)room. It works stand-alone, so no expensive hub or gateway is needed.

The Shelly HT operates on a CR123A long-life 3V battery (approx. 12-16 months, battery not included) and can be placed wherever you want, within WiFi range. With its beautiful design, available in white and black, the sensor fits into any interior. The sensor continuously measures the humidity and temperature in its immediate environment and stores this data for up to one year for free in the cloud. Through the free app, you can view the data and easily create smart scenes, giving you full control over the humidity and temperature in your home or office, ensuring a healthy and comfortable climate.

Place the Shelly H&T, press the button to connect via WiFi using the free Shelly app, and pair the sensor. It couldn't be easier!
Make sure to "wake up" the Shelly H&T by pressing the button before saving changes.
If you want to poll more frequently with lower threshold values for more up-to-date information, but don't want to keep changing batteries, also order the white or black Shelly H&T USB power supply cap. The Shelly H&T will then send an update of temperature & humidity every 10 minutes.

The Shelly HT has a built-in ESP8266 flash chip. This allows you to flash your own or alternative firmware, such as Tasmota. For this, you need a USB-to-UART 3.3V and at least 350mA adapter, such as our FTDI adapter. Flashing is straightforward via the directly accessible pins inside. NOTE: since this sensor frequently goes into sleep mode to save battery, we do not recommend flashing unless you know exactly what you are doing!

Since the module only "wakes up" a few times a day to save battery, the local HTTP server (port 80) is usually not reachable. So wake up the sensor by pressing the button once if you want to make changes. For integration with other smart home systems, we rely on MQTT, and the Shelly H&T works with:

If you prefer not to use the free Shelly cloud service but still want to control your devices remotely, that's no problem. The Shelly H&T also supports basic MQTT (Message Queue Telemetry Transport) for reliable connections via a central broker: the MQTT broker. The devices involved communicate only with the broker and do not know each other directly. They do not need to know the IP addresses or technical details of other participants. Thus, it is secure and reliable.
