This smart Shelly Water Sensor provides peace of mind when you start your washing machine or dishwasher and leave the house. When water is detected, you will receive a notification on your smartphone about the leak, and via a scene, the washing machine or dishwasher will be automatically turned off using the Shelly Plug.
The Smart Home Shelly Flood Sensor is a universal WiFi water & temperature sensor with a beautiful design, operating on a CR123A – 3V battery that lasts up to 18 months. Designed for indoor and outdoor use, this sensor monitors temperature and detects leaks. Unfortunately, the sensor does not detect rain as it does not have enough conductive particles. Temperature history is stored in the cloud for up to a year. The sensor provides an acoustic alarm and/or notification on your smartphone or tablet for temperature changes or leaks.
Prevent water damage and order this Shelly Flood for your Smart Home System now.
Do not forget to order also a battery! The battery is not included.
Install the Shelly Flood according to the instructions, connect via WiFi using the free Shelly App, and pair the module.
Ensure you "wake up" the Shelly Flood by pressing the button before making any changes.
Place the Shelly Flood on the floor, for example, in a location where leaks might occur, such as near your washing machine or dishwasher. It doesn’t get easier than this!
Since the module only "wakes up" a few times a day to conserve battery, the local HTTP server (port 80) is usually not accessible until you wake the sensor. For integration with other Smart Home Systems, we rely on MQTT, and the Shelly Flood works with, among others:
Also works with
* Apple HomeKit requires flashing or a Homebridge
Prefer not to use the free Shelly cloud service but still want to control your devices remotely? No problem. Shelly Flood also supports basic MQTT (Message Queue Telemetry Transport) for reliable connections via a central broker: the MQTT broker. The devices involved only communicate with the broker and do not need to know the IP addresses and technical details of other participants. Thus, it is secure and reliable, with real-time monitoring and easy integration.
