Shelly BLU Wall Switch 4

The Shelly BLU Wall Switch 4 is a wireless 4-button Bluetooth switch powered by batteries, designed to control your Shelly devices or trigger scenes, with up to 16 actions. Available as a stand-alone switch, it can be used as a separate remote control or stuck anywhere. Additionally, with an adapter, it can also be integrated into a frame from Shelly, Legrand, Gira, Merten, or Busch-Jaeger.

Attention: order standalone or with adapters when needed. The frames you already have or you have to order them separately, for example the Shelly Wall Frame with Shelly/Legrand adapter.

Shelly BLU Wall Switch 4

The Shelly BLU Wall Switch 4 is now available as a wireless, battery-powered switch. The Shelly Wall Switch operates on a CR2032 battery (lasting approximately 2 years) and connects via Bluetooth Low Energy to a Shelly Plus, Pro, or Gen3 device. Each of the 4 buttons has 4 functions: single click, double click, triple click, and long press, allowing for up to 16 different actions in total. With various adapters, the Shelly BLU Wall Switch can be integrated with your preferred switch brand (color may vary) or with Shelly's switch materials. Alternatively, it can be used as a stand-alone remote control or easily mounted with the included 3M sticker.

The Bluetooth range is approximately 10m indoors and 30m outdoors. At least one Shelly Plus, Gen3, or Pro device must be set up as a Bluetooth gateway. However, if you set up multiple Shelly Plus, Gen3, and/or PRO devices as Bluetooth gateways, the Bluetooth signal is strengthened indoors (mesh network), expanding the range of your smart switch. If you don't have any of these devices, there is also the Shelly BLU Gateway. You can also use scripting for complex scenes and use the same actions at different locations, such as home, office, or vacation home. The Bluetooth connection is completely secure with AES Encryption (CCM mode). It is also compatible with Home Assistant or other Smart Home systems that support the BTHome protocol.

For many customers who do not have a blue neutral wire behind the wall switch, this is the ideal solution. For example, if you want to install a Shelly Plus 1PM behind your wall switch, you need a blue neutral wire. If it's not present behind the wall switch, you can potentially pull a wire, which can sometimes be difficult, or otherwise place the Shelly in the ceiling box. There is always a blue wire there, but sometimes the brown phase wire is missing. No problem with this Shelly BLU Wall Switch 4.
Simply connect the black switched phase wire to the brown wire, and place the Shelly BLU Wall Switch 4 in the location of the old wall switch. You will then have the phase via the black switch wire from the wall switch to the ceiling box and a blue neutral wire to connect your Shelly Plus 1PM, and you can still use the Shelly BLU Wall Switch 4 as a wall switch. With all its functions, you can also control other Shelly devices or activate scenes, such as turning off all the lights when you go to sleep with a single press of a button.
