Wirelessly control your lights or appliances with your smartphone from anywhere in the world. Easily create smart scenes and set timers in the free app for your home automation. For example, automatically turn on your lights at sunset or start your coffee maker at 7:30 AM from Monday to Friday. Voice control with Siri, Google Assistant, or Amazon Alexa is also possible; "Hey Google, turn on the table lamp."
Shelly 1PM Gen3, new, faster, and more secure
The Shelly 1PM Gen3 with power measurement now features the ESP-Shelly-C38F chip with 8MB of flash memory. The 8MB provides more memory for smooth updates and potential Matter firmware updates in the future. It also includes Bluetooth for easy connection to your home WiFi, overheating protection, enhanced security with MQTT + SSL, MQTT combined with Cloud, and scripting. Additionally, the terminals (screw connections) have been improved and are now suitable for up to 2.5mm², which was a common issue with the old variant and the 2.5mm² wire behind the wall switch.
If you want to use BTHome for your Shelly BLU Bluetooth devices, such as the BLU Door-Window or Motion sensor, you'll need a Shelly Gen3 or Shelly Pro. The Shelly Plus series, which can also function as a Bluetooth gateway, does not support BTHome.
Install the Shelly 1PM Gen3 easily behind your wall switch, outlet, or near your device, and connect via Bluetooth or WiFi to the app. Shelly offers a free app that allows you to set up a smart home system easily and affordably, without the cost of a gateway/hub. Afterward, you can also control the switch wirelessly with the app from anywhere in the world, include it in smart scenes, and set timers, such as turning on your lights at sunset. Voice control with Siri, Google Assistant, or Amazon Alexa is also available. The open-source nature ensures that you can integrate the Shelly 1PM Gen3 with nearly any home automation system.
For installation in a meter cupboard on a DIN rail, there is the Shelly PRO 1PM. There is also the compact and affordable Shelly 1PM Mini Gen3.
Optionally, you can also order an RC-Snubber. The Shelly RC Snubber is an energy-absorbing circuit used to suppress voltage spikes caused by the inductive load of the circuit when a switch, whether electrical or mechanical, is opened. An inductive load (current that lags) is, for example, a coil. Coils are found in transformers, gas discharge lamps (fluorescent tubes), electric motors, and relays.
Also works with
* FIBARO Home Center 2, 3, or Lite via a Virtual Device/Quick App
** Apple HomeKit requires a MatterBridge, or possibly in the future via a firmware update
Prefer not to use the free Shelly cloud service but still want to control your devices remotely? No problem. The Shelly 1PM Gen3 also supports MQTT (Message Queue Telemetry Transport) for reliable connections via a central intermediary: the MQTT broker. The involved devices only communicate with the broker and do not know each other directly. They do not need to know each other's IP addresses or technical details. It is safe and reliable, with real-time monitoring and easy integration. Want to know more? Read our Shelly WiFi Switch Blog.
