Home2Link, founded by Patrick Lehman, originated from a passion for home automation and ease of control.
Years ago, it all started simply with automating the control of my Audio & Video system. To watch TV, I had to turn on my TV, decoder, and receiver. To adjust the sound, change channels, or watch a movie in Dolby Surround, I needed three remote controls. And we haven't even mentioned the CD/DVD player, video recorder, and Apple TV that also needed to be controlled. That's a total of six remote controls. Not convenient, and it should be easier.
I then came across the Logitech Harmony, which automatically turns on the right equipment and sets it to the correct inputs via scenes. One remote that controls everything, is also dummy-proof, and thus really easy for everyone to use. Truly amazing. This sparked my passion for automating the rest of the house as well, creating convenience and comfort at home.
The strange thing is that I have had this convenience and comfort in my car for years, as almost everything there works automatically. When I walk up to the car, it unlocks without me having to take the key out of my pocket. When I open the door, the interior lights turn on automatically. When it's dark, the driving lights turn on automatically, there are rain sensors for the wipers, parking sensors, a rearview camera, and the car also remembers all my last settings. It's odd that I don't have this convenience at home, where I use it much more.
To turn my home into a Smart Home, I started looking online for possibilities. I quickly became overwhelmed by the options and made some wrong choices that are now gathering dust in the attic, which is a real waste of money. I had 3 or 4 apps to control my home, for heating, blinds, lighting, and the garden. Just like with my audio & video equipment, this wasn't convenient. It had to be different, so I started searching for a comprehensive solution.
One system, one app, to control everything, including my Audio & Video equipment, and future-proof. With the ability to automate certain functions completely, while still keeping the old (switch) method operational, so the babysitter can also use the devices.
I found this in the FIBARO Smart Home system, which also integrates well with other brands through its open platform, such as Homey, Logitech, Nest, etc.

We also organize an introduction evening for beginners and workshops every 2-4 weeks to help you get the most out of your Smart Home System.
