Information

With the Shelly PRO EM-50 WiFi Energy Meter, you can wirelessly or via Ethernet cable easily and accurately monitor and record energy consumption, such as from your solar panels. What's new with the Shelly PRO EM-50 includes a fast ESP32 chip, LAN connectivity in addition to WiFi and Bluetooth, and of course, the DIN-Rail version. The open source nature ensures that this smart meter can integrate with almost any home automation system. Additionally, Shelly offers its own free app that allows you to set up a smart home system easily and affordably without the cost of a Gateway/Hub. Comes with 2 CT clamps.

The Shelly PRO EM can monitor 2x single-phase or up to 2 groups;
2x Consumption (W) measurement
2x Energy (Wh) measurement
2x Load (max. 50A) measurement
2x Load Quality measurement
1x Voltage (V) measurement
1x Output for Contactor (magnetic switch)
Additionally;
60 days of built-in energy (Wh) history per minute

Install the Shelly PRO EM-50 according to the manual, connect to your home WiFi (possibly via Bluetooth) or LAN using the free Shelly App, and pair the module. It couldn't be simpler! The Shelly PRO EM Energy Meter supports 110-240VAC and features an ESP32 with a 16MB flash chip built-in. This allows you to flash your own or alternative firmware.

NOTE: The Shelly PRO EM-50 requires surge protection of 2A, with a B or C characteristic and a nominal tripping capacity of 6kA (EN60898-1). Order the circuit breaker at the same time. If you also plan to use the potential-free relay, you'll need 2.

With the Shelly Pro EM-50, you can create scenes to control other Shelly devices based on power consumption or feedback. The integrated potential-free relay up to 2A and max. 240VAC is ideal for this purpose. For instance, you can connect a contactor to switch higher power loads.

Also works with

Homey
HomeSeer
Domoticz
Home Assistant
OpenHab
MQTT

If you prefer not to use the free Shelly cloud service but still want to control your devices remotely, no problem. The Shelly PRO EM also supports basic MQTT (Message Queue Telemetry Transport) for reliable connections through a central broker: the MQTT broker. The involved devices only communicate with the broker and do not know each other. They do not need to know the IP addresses or technical details of other participants. So it's safe and reliable, with real-time monitoring and easy integration. Want to know more? Check out our Shelly WiFi Switch Blog.
