With the Shelly BLU Door Window sensor, you can wirelessly and easily set up an alarm system or automation. Create a smart action or scene in the free Shelly Smart Control App, for example, to switch on the lights when you come home in the evening and open the door. This smart Shelly Bluetooth (BLE) door window sensor operates on a CR2032 battery, which lasts approximately 5 years, and also functions as a Bluetooth Beacon, allowing you to always know the current status of the sensor. The main advantage of Bluetooth compared to the WiFi Door/Window Sensor is that the response time is much faster, the battery lasts much longer, and the sensor is significantly smaller and thus less noticeable. The BLU Door Window sensor also features a Lux (light intensity) and Tilt sensor and is available in 3 colors. A disadvantage is that the Bluetooth sensor does not have the additional functionality of a Temperature sensor.

NOTE: The Shelly BLU Door/Window Sensor requires a firmware update immediately after installation, which can be easily done via the free Shelly BLE Debug app for Android or iOS. Otherwise, the batteries will drain quickly.

Install the Shelly Bluetooth magnetic sensor via the free and new Shelly Smart Control App and set up Shelly Plus or Pro devices as a Bluetooth gateway to connect the sensor. It couldn't be easier! The response time is less than 1 second. The Bluetooth range is approximately 10m indoors and 30m outdoors. When you set up the Shelly Plus and Pro devices as a Bluetooth gateway, the Bluetooth signal is strengthened in the house (mesh network) and the range for your smart Bluetooth Door-Window Sensor is increased. Don’t have Shelly Plus or Pro devices at home yet? No worries, there is also a Shelly BLU Gateway stick available. The Bluetooth connection is fully secure with AES Encryption (CCM mode). It is also compatible with, for example, Home Assistant or another Smart Home System that supports the BTHome protocol.
