The Aqara Presence Sensor FP2 is a unique presence sensor that works with WiFi. The sensor uses advanced millimeter-wave radar technology (mmWave) for accurate people detection. It even works with slight movements. The FP2 supports smart features such as zone positioning and multi-person detection.
With zone positioning, you can divide a single room into up to 30 small zones for individual automations. Multi-Person Detection is designed to detect the number of people in the room, with the sensor capable of detecting up to five people. Additionally, the sensor includes fall detection and an integrated light sensor.
The FP2 sensor supports various popular ecosystems, including Apple HomeKit, Alexa, and Google Home. Both the presence and light sensors are recognized. Zone Positioning
This feature offers unique advantages over a regular PIR motion sensor. With a single radar sensor, you can monitor a space up to 40m². Moreover, the space can be divided into up to 30 zones, such as sofa, bed, or desk. Based on these zones, you can set up individual automations, making it feel like you are using multiple motion sensors simultaneously. The recommended size is 10m² – 40m².
The sensor can detect when you are no longer present in the zone. For example, the FP2 sensor can turn off the lights in the kitchen. Requires a Aqara hub and Smart Wall Switch H1 and/or Switch Module T1. Order them together!
Accurate Multi-Person Detection

The FP2 sensor informs you when someone falls in a room (only ceiling mounting is supported for fall detection). This means there is no need to place a camera inside for constant monitoring. This is a unique solution for monitoring without intruding on privacy. The range is a radius of 2 meters with an accuracy of >98%. The recommended installation height is 2.5m – 2.8m.
Note: The function can only detect most normal fall scenarios and cannot replace medical equipment. Currently, fall detection cannot distinguish between slowly falling against a wall or fainting after sitting.
Flexible Installation
The Presence Sensor FP2 can be installed in various ways, including mounting with screws, adhesive, or using the magnetic base. This allows it to be applied in different scenarios. With its IPX5 rating, the sensor can also be installed in damp environments, including bathrooms.
The sensor has a USB-C port, allowing you to use a cable length of your choice. The FP2 Sensor comes standard with a 2-meter Type-C cable (5V, 1A adapter not included).

Helaas nog maar 3 sterren omdat de firmware van dit product nog niet doet wat het beloofd, na laatste update wel verbetering. Scherm laat veel ghost aanwezigen zien en valdetectie werkt helemaal niet. De mooie Youtube video's zijn gemaakt door betaalde testers maar geven geen goed beeld van de werkelijkheid.
