You've probably decided to purchase a smart home system, and now you're wondering if you can install it yourself?
The products we offer on our website are definitely DIY (Do It Yourself) products, but it does require knowledge of electricity, reading module wiring diagrams, installing software and/or apps, adding devices, and programming automation scenes. Installing the software on your PC and adding devices and creating automations via the software or web interface is quite intuitive, but it sometimes helps if we get you started.
The image shows the installation diagram for the FIBARO In-Wall Dimmer, as you will also find in the manual. The separately available Bypass Module is also included, which is used for low-power circuits, such as LED lamps, and prevents flickering or afterglow when the lights are turned off.
The 2-wire connection is the connection without a blue neutral wire, which is often missing in older homes due to economic reasons, and only connects to the central box. In this case, you only connect the brown phase wire and black switch wire to the module. The 3-wire connection includes the blue wire in the installation box.
If you understand the diagram, there's a good chance you'll be able to install the system yourself.

The rates for a certified installer are generally higher than for an installer without certifications due to the annual training and membership in industry organizations, which involve additional costs.
Expect a rate of approximately €60.00/hour excluding VAT on a post-calculation basis for jobs in and around the house or business premises, plus any travel costs. Based on the size of the purchased Smart Home system and the modules to be installed, we can provide an estimate of the costs in advance. We also ensure that the installation time on-site is kept to a minimum by pre-pairing the modules with the base station.
